About ExamEdge Prep
ExamEdge Prep was built on a simple frustration: every certification candidate we knew was paying $40 for a practice question bank, then a second $40 for a slightly different question bank, then a third for a "cram" pack the week before the test. The questions were not better — they were just behind a paywall.
This site puts practice tests in front of the paywall. Every category, every test, every question is free to take, free to review, and free to retake as many times as you want. We support the lights with display advertising, which means you never need to enter a credit card or create an account to study. Open the homepage, pick a track, take a test.
Who this site is for
ExamEdge Prep is built for working adults who are studying for a professional certification or licensing exam on top of a full-time job. That means we optimize for short, focused sessions: a 10-question test fits inside a lunch break, a coffee shop visit, or the half hour between dinner and bedtime. Most of our visitors come back two or three times a week for four to eight weeks before sitting their real exam.
The site covers four broad professional families: information technology and cloud (CompTIA, AWS, Azure, GCP, Cisco), project and service management (PMP, ITIL, Microsoft 365), regulated occupations (real estate salesperson and broker, NCLEX nursing, Praxis teaching credentials), and finance (Series 7, Series 63, CPA review). If you are studying for one of those exams, we have a track for you. If you are studying for an exam we do not yet cover, drop us a note on the contact page and we will add it.
How we build practice tests
Every practice test on the site is constructed in three layers. The first layer is the question pool, drawn from publicly accessible educational sources documented on our methodology page. The second layer is topical mapping — each question is tagged to a domain in the official exam blueprint so that you can see whether you are weaker in, say, "Network Security" than in "Network Architecture." The third layer is explanation: every result page tells you which blueprint domain the item belongs to and why the correct answer is correct.
What we are not
We are not a brain dump. We do not republish actual live exam questions, and we explicitly discourage the use of "exam dumps" — sites that publish leaked questions from current exam pools. Using brain dumps violates the terms of every major certifying body and, more practically, builds the wrong kind of memory: you learn the question, not the concept. When the certifying body refreshes the question pool (which they do, often quietly), your dump-based prep evaporates overnight.
We are also not a replacement for an official study guide. Our practice tests are best used alongside a primary study resource — the official exam guide, a respected video course, or a textbook. The tests tell you whether the studying is sticking. They do not do the studying for you.
How the site is funded
ExamEdge Prep runs on display advertising. You will see ad slots in the page header, between content sections, in the sidebar of test pages, and in the footer. Ads are clearly labeled and never disguised as questions or test results. We do not sell email lists, we do not require sign-up, and we do not use dark patterns to push you toward a paid product because there is no paid product to push you toward.
If you find the site useful and want to support us without seeing ads, the most helpful thing you can do is share a specific test page with a friend who is studying. Word-of-mouth from a real candidate is worth more to us than any ad campaign we could afford.
Editorial standards
Every category page is reviewed against the current published exam blueprint at least once per cycle. When a certifying body releases a new version of the exam (for example, the move from PMP 2020 to the 2021 PMI exam refresh, or the AWS SAA-C02 to SAA-C03 transition), we re-tag the question pool and update the blueprint summary on the category page. We do not publish a "last updated" date for each test because that creates false precision — instead, we list the version of the exam blueprint we are tracking on each category page.
If you spot a question with a wrong answer key, an outdated reference, or a domain mis-tag, please email us using the contact form. Corrections are typically pushed within 48 hours.
The team
ExamEdge Prep is run by a small distributed team that includes a former CompTIA instructor, a PMP-certified program manager, an RN, and a licensed real estate broker. We do not pretend to be experts in every track we cover — instead, we lean on subject-matter reviewers for the harder regulated tracks (NCLEX, Praxis, Series 7, CPA) to make sure the tagging and explanations are accurate and current.
