Privacy Policy

This page explains, in plain language, what we collect when you use ExamEdge Prep, what we do with it, what we do not do with it, and how you can ask us to delete what we have.

What we collect

ExamEdge Prep is designed to require as little personal information as possible. You can take any practice test on the site without creating an account, providing an email address, or otherwise identifying yourself. The data we do collect falls into three buckets:

Anonymous usage analytics. When you load a page, our analytics provider records the page URL, the referring URL, the approximate geographic region (derived from your IP address, never the precise IP), the device class (desktop, tablet, mobile), and the browser. We use this to understand which tracks are popular, where we have broken links, and how the site performs on different devices. We do not link this data to any personally identifying information.

Quiz submissions. When you submit a practice test, your answers are processed by the server in order to generate the score and explanation page. Submissions are not stored — once the result page is rendered, the submission is discarded.

Voluntary correspondence. If you email us about a question correction, a track request, or a partnership, we keep your message and your email address so that we can respond. We do not add you to any marketing list and we do not share your address with anyone else.

Cookies and similar technologies

We set a small number of cookies. A session cookie keeps your preferences (such as your last-viewed category) for the duration of your browsing session. Our advertising partner sets cookies to measure ad performance and, where you have consented, to personalize ads. You can clear cookies at any time from your browser settings; the site will continue to work normally.

Advertising

The site is supported by display advertising. Our ad partner may use cookies and similar technologies to measure the performance of ads and, where applicable law and your consent allow, to show ads tailored to your interests. You can opt out of personalized advertising at the industry-wide level via the YourAdChoices tool. Ads are clearly labeled on the page and are never disguised as practice questions or test results.

How we use the data

We use the data we collect for three purposes only: to operate and improve the site, to respond to messages you send us, and to serve and measure advertising. We do not sell your data. We do not share it with third parties except for the operational service providers we need to run the site (analytics, advertising, email forwarding), and those providers are bound by contract to use the data only for the services they provide to us.

Data retention

Anonymous analytics data is retained for 26 months and then aggregated. Email correspondence is retained for as long as we reasonably need it to handle your inquiry and any follow-up; if you ask us to delete a specific message thread, we will. Quiz submissions are not retained at all — they exist only long enough to compute your score.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to ask us to correct it, to ask us to delete it, or to opt out of certain kinds of processing. To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@examedgeprep.example with a description of your request. We will respond within 30 days.

Residents of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland have the rights granted by the GDPR. Residents of California have the rights granted by the CCPA, including the right to know what personal information we have collected and the right to request its deletion. Residents of other US states with comprehensive privacy laws (Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, and others as enacted) have the rights granted by those laws.

Children

The site is intended for adult professionals studying for occupational certifications and licensing exams. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please email privacy@examedgeprep.example and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the new version here and update the effective date below. Material changes will be highlighted at the top of the page for at least 30 days. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
